The Metcalfe heavy duty peelers are made in two capacities, either 14lb (6.3kg) or 28lb (12.6kg). Each machine can be supplied with standard or sink height pedestals.
Easy to operate, clean & built for reliability.

CONSTRUCTION: Rust proofed steel pedestals & cast aluminium bases. Non corrosive ductile aluminium alloy made for direct contact with food, is impervious to brine, starch & mild acids.
The main drive shaft runs in ball races in a large grease chamber.

1.3hp motor. The drive between the output shaft & the drive shaft of the peeler is by means of flexible coupling which will prevent damage to the motor or gearbox if the machine is accidentally jammed or overloaded.

CLEANING: The top of the peeling chamber lifts off so that the rotor plate can be removed with two lifting hooks.

ABRASIVE: The rotor plate is bonded with abrasive grit. The wall of the chamber has cast-in abrasive serrations which removes the need for abrasive coating - reduces potato loss & means the chamber never needs re coating.

SLUDGE DISPOSAL: The waste disposal adaptor dispenses the need for an interceptor although internal or external interceptors are available.
