Advice from the experts:
If the waffles stick to the plates, it could be due to the mix being used. Waffle mixes with low sugar content can be cooked at higher temperatures, while high sugar mixes require a lower temperature to stop the outside caramelising before the inside has cooked. Using a small spray oil could also help to release the waffles.
