High specification, heavy duty commercial gas hoses with restraining cables.
Beware of cheap inferior quality hoses.
BTU Capacities
Referring to the chart below, the BTU Capacities of Both Caterquip & Dormont gas hoses are shown.
These capacities were determined under the test conditions specified in BS669 part 2 1997.
They are for braided & unbraided gas hoses fitted with standard quick-disconnect (QD) fittings or Safety Quik™.
Correct gas hose installation
When installing your commercial gas hose, positioning is crucial for both the integrity and function of the hose.
• The quick-disconnect (QD) end must be at the supply end.
• Allow the hose to form 1 natural loop. There should be no sharp bends, crimps or twists.
• Ensure the hose is not touching the floor - if this is an issue, you should consider a shorter length hose.
• The restraining chain should be slightly shorter than the hose. Doing so correctly prevents over-extending of the gas hose.
The restrainer should NOT be attached to either the gas supply or gas hose itself. It should be securely anchored in the wall.
